Question about illuminati and subliminal messages?

I knoe about the illuminati and what they are trying to do but my question is that in places such as TV shows and music there are subliminal messages such as jay z's fad of making a triangle with his hands, or lady gaga making a triangle with an eye at the top with her two fingers and here eye...but how does showing us a triangle and a triangle with an eye affect us at all? how do these messages coerce us or manipulate us? its just a triangle...like in family guy in one of the episodes there is a book in a library with the illuminati sign on the front....what affect would this have on somebody??
