How to deal with unwelcome flirtation?

I agree with the first poster, if they don't respond to polite negations of conversation, then be more blunt with them. Walk away if you feel the need. I've found refusing to give them eye contact, and physically turning away from men that won't get the point is effective. They want attention back, but when they won't get it they'll give up.
