Which Calligraphy set is the best?: Chinese or Japanese?! And what is the diffrence between them?!?

i really do want to buy an ASIAN calligraphy set, i look them up all on google and i really want to buy the JAPANESE set but i couldnt tell the diffrences between them..can u guys tell me?! and also what is the most recommend calligraphy set that you guys bought and tell me the stores to buy them around Elk Grove or Sacramento... and PLEASE say that they are cheap sets too cause' im asian like that.. so yeah thank you for helping me and hopefully ur guyses answers works :)))
