OKINAWA bases returned to the JAPanese...WHY???

Why is the U.S. giving in to the Japanese gov.? Okinawa is a very vital strategic location. Many of our brothers and sisters were lost in the battles throughout the Pacific., and because of a handful of undiciplined Marines and other service members, the Okinawin's are ready for war. During my fun stay on Okinawa, new barracks were built . To my superise we were told that the only reason these barracks were built was because this base was going to be a college in the future. Are all the Marines being removed from the island? and if so, will all of our military be no more on Oki.?...........Semper Fi
