Fallout New Vegas Allegiance?

When i play Fallout for the first time, i do what i would do if i was in that situation, (thats how it should be played right?) well i dont think anyone in fallout new vegas has good karma, except for me lol, but i decided to side with Mr. House near the end of the game, i think thats the side i would follow for real, but was it the best choice? the NCR didnt look like the good guys they play to be, and i think i shouldve killed Caesar when i had the chance, following my own path looked tempting, but i dont feel like a leader, more like an enforcer, or follower
