Could I have staph?

have on my side of my torso a red spot, It's been there for a while, But I always thought it was a pimple, It wasnt a cut or anythnig, Just like a pimple but no cut or anything on it. Today it was scabbing and stupid i scratched some off. The scab is gone and in the middle is like a soft not scabby but idk. Its not super big, Doesnt hurt, Itches sometimes. Im wondering if it is staph or not, If I should get it checked imediately? Also, If it is in early stage, Can it be easy treatable?
