So in the dodgers game a few minutes ago it was 1st and 3rd, 1 out with Ethier up. He hits a comebacker to the pitcher Kazmir who stops it but doesnt catch it cleanly. Kazmir throws to 2nd while the runner from home scores. Jamey Carrol the runner at 2nd is safe on the force play at 2nd as Kazmir was too slow to throw. Carrol then stands up on the base, looks around, and walks towards the dugout. The SS then tags Carrol out. So right now its being scored on mlb.com and cbssports.com as a Fielders Choice out with an RBI. But how is this not a hit since Carrol was safe on the force and then tagged out for leaving the bag clearly as not part of the original slide into the bag.
